Fred "Mr. Funk" Funch has been a musician for almost 50 years and have been designing buildings and doing land planning for 39 years. He was educated in music since the 5th grade. Playing a variety of brass instruments from grammer school thru college but excelling on trumpet and french horn, he started playing the drums and other percussion instruments in 1966 and turned professional at age 15. In the early 70's he had the opportunity to be an understudy of the late, great, Louis Bellson. Fred has played with and backed up a lot of greats since then. Playing only a handful of festivals and clubs a year now and doing studio work, it's still his passion.
