Terry has been playing professionally in various markets and local radio across the country since his teens. His original song “Fade Out To Black and White” received honorable mention from Billboard Magazine. Terry has played in clubs throughout the U.S. and Southern California including The Whisky, The Ice House, The Troubadour and The Coach House.
Born into a musical family, Terry has been creating music since the age of 8 when he picked up his first Harmony guitar. At the age of 18, he hit the road and traveled the country performing and writing over 250 songs. Terry has produced five CD’s and won Billboard’s Award for Most Original Song. Terry and his band TAG (John West & Kevin Alexander), have touched the fans in such a way a local photographer and writer, Mike Magoski, has written a book entitled, “Keeper of the Dream” (after one of Terry’s songs). It covers the life and times of Terry and the band and how they have made an impact in the music industry in southern California.
His influences are diverse and his sound is reminiscent of the great rock performers of the 60’s and 70’s. Terry has formed numerous bands since leaving home as a kid, the most recent is TAG, an original rock band based in Fullerton, California. While having an extensive repertoire of cover songs, Terry is best known for his original works. There is a special quality in his soulful and unique vocals that will touch the heart. His expertise with his acoustic and electric guitar ranks him in the top list of performers in the music industry. Terry Alexander stands out as one of Southern California's true talents and is one of our greatest unknown singer/songwriter/producers.
